Children’s Choir

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Choir is a semester-long performance class that teaches the basics of good choral singing and musicianship for grades 3 through 8. Students learn and perform a varied repertoire throughout the year. In addition to the enjoyment of making music together, they learn how to sing with proper vocal technique and how to read music.

• Performance Attire – Star T-shirt, black pants (with no holes or rips) and dark shoes.
• Transportation – Parents must be willing to drive students to performances
• Attendance and Parent Participation
  • Students must be able to attend performances at the end of each semester, with the possibility of additional community performances.
  • Parent participation sign ups required for lunch and class time supervision.
