About Mrs. Holtom

Allison Holtom is a homeschool graduate from Hope Christian Academy, former Star student (circa 1997), and a 5-year homeschool mom of three children. Allison has a BA from CSU Fullerton in Music Education and has performed with the Pacific Chorale for 9 years. She was choir director at Whittier Christian High School for 9 years. While at WCHS, her additional responsibilities included vocal coaching for musicals, fine arts administrative work, creating choral curriculum, teaching music theory, vocal coaching soloists and small groups, and teaching private voice lessons. Prior to that, Allison taught elementary music at the Crystal Cathedral Academy as well as high school choir, piano lessons, and voice lessons.

Allison’s experience in homeschool music began when she was 17, as she taught a variety of K-12 fine arts and music classes for over 10 years at Hope Christian Academy, including junior and high school choirs, kindergarten music, dance classes, a patriotic show choir, Dickens carolers, hand chimes, voice lessons, and vocal coaching. She has performed musical theater, opera, jazz, church music, Dicken’s caroling, and many other genres.

Allison has a vision for integrating homeschool, music and her love of God, not just with her own three children, but impacting others in these areas as well. In her spare time, Allison enjoys singing, playing the piano and ukulele, sewing, baking, organizing, and spending time with her children.
