COURSE DESCRIPTION
Essentials of Math is designed for high school students who will be most successful taking Algebra over a two year period.
In year one, Algebra 1 A students will review Pre-Algebra basics and transition into Algebra 1, covering exponents, variables, linear equations, graphing and an introduction to slope intercept.
In year two, Algebra 1 B students will review some Algebra 1 A basics, and move into polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, roots and radicals.
These courses, taken over a two-year period, fulfill the California Department of Education mathematics requirements for high school graduation.
