About Mrs. Hasegawa
Susan Hasegawa graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a B.S. in Kinesiology and graduated from the School of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. She practiced as a pharmacist for ten years before homeschooling her three children from kindergarten through high school. Her two daughters graduated in 2019 from Biola University and The King’s College; her son is attending California State University, Long Beach.
Upon homeschooling her children, Susan discovered how much she enjoyed elementary-aged children. She was a tutor for Classical Conversations for three years and taught at Biola Youth Academics for two years. Her desire is to make Language Arts fun and easy to understand, as well as to integrate a biblical worldview with children’s literature. Susan enjoys spending time with family and friends, studying the Bible, making and eating healthy foods (hello kombucha, sourdough starter, elderberry syrup, chia pudding, açaí bowls), reading about health and nutrition, trying new recipes from Pinterest, walking, hiking, and pampering her dog, CC.
