Renee VanEck

Renee Van Eck earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a group science major from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After graduation, Renee taught in a 1st and 2nd grade combined classroom for five and one-half years until she had children of her own. Renee began homeschooling when her daughters were in 1st and 2nd grades. She homeschooled her three children for 14 years. While her children participated in courses through Biola Youth Academics, Renee also participated by teaching several courses for Biola Youth Academics. She taught Physical Science, Geography, Earth Science, and most recently Chemistry and Algebra 2.

Renee has a fondness for math and science and enjoys showing students the orderliness and wisdom with which God created the world. When not teaching, Mrs. Van Eck can be found serving at her church, working for the family business, reading, hiking with her husband, or playing pickleball with friends and family.
