Elementary Full Day Grade 3

COURSE PACKAGE DESCRIPTION

This full day course package for grade 3, offers three classes in one . Students will take Language Arts, Math, and Science for for 16 weeks per semester. Classes meet one day per week.

Language Arts: Students receive instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Classroom activities emphasize reading comprehension skills, sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary. Specifically, students gain knowledge in literary analysis, writing strategies, listening skills, punctuation, recitation, and spelling.

Math: All students receive instruction appropriate to their grade level in numeration, addition and subtraction, sets, comparing numbers, rounding numbers, place value, rational numbers, even/odd numbers, fractions, money, measurement (time, linear and temperature, weight, volume, area), beginning geometry, patterns, statistics, graphing, and problem solving.

Science: This biblically based course guides students through science concepts with hands-on activities, engaging discussions, and interactive classroom lessons. Each year-long study focuses on a particular science discipline, which ensures that students acquire an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter.
