COURSE DESCRIPTION
This AP Chemistry course is taught in two semesters. The first semester covers fundamental concepts including chemical reactions, stoichiometry, atomic structure and properties, molecular and ionic compound structure and properties, intermolecular forces, chemical bonding, changes in state, and the periodic table. The second semester covers fundamental concepts including kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
Experiments will be performed to demonstrate principles and concepts introduced in the textbook.
This is a Vanguard University dual credit course that counts as Chemistry 120 in fall and 121 in spring and is transferable to most colleges.
