Summer Prep Clinics

Join Star Homeschool Academy this summer for a four-day clinic that will help prepare your student for the fall and get back into the rhythms of academia. Writing clinics are offered for grades 1 through 12 and cost $125 per course. Prep clinics for Math also available.

Elementary Writing Levels (grades 4-6)

Children will enjoy brushing up on their writing skills with this 4-day creative writing course. They will explore multiple aspects of writing, while honing their writing and grammar skills. Our interactive and engaging teachers will challenge your student and unlock their writing potential, while boosting their confidence in writing.

Our elementary writing prep clinics will meet with grades 4 to 6 grouped together.

Institute for Excellence and Writing (IEW) Review

This four-day summer course is designed to introduce students enrolling in English 7 to the strategies that are found in the standardized practices of the Institute for Excellence and Writing (IEW). It is also designed for students who would like to review IEW skills in preparation for English 8. Appropriate for students entering into 7th or 8th grade.

High School Writing for grades 9 – 12

This four-day summer writing course is designed for all levels of writers entering or already in high school. Students will review the fundamentals of high school creative and research writing. Appropriate for students entering into 9 – 12 grade this fall.
